Patio Awnings provide external shade and reduce solar gain rather than use air conditioning to cool a space after it has heated up. An awning also provides the perfect spot for al fresco entertaining. If your are a little too close an awning may offer a little extra privacy. With the British climate you need an awning of good quality, both frame and cloth. Good patio awnings are not cheap, cheap patio awnings are not good, we use top quality frames, UV rated fabrics and Somfy motors ; we don't think there is a better combination.

Now that Changing Curtains is part of Inspiring Your Home we have a much expanded and specialist fitting team with three of our fitters specially trained on awnings, we can also cover a greater area, all of Central and North London plus East London, Essex and Herts

Patio Awnings are our most seasonal product and most people think of ordering their awnings in July and August (when the sun is at its hottest and our suppliers are at their busiest and waiting times at their longest). If you can order your awning closer to the start of the season we can usually offer you a better deal. We can sometimes offer a free motor, or free heaters or free LED lighting. We can also usually offer a discount if you are getting more than one awning fitted at a time. If you wait till midsummer it's tricky, but if you are ready to order in February or March do ask us to check for the best deal we can get you

Why have a Patio Awning A fully motorised patio awning with heaters and lights is a truly worthwhile investment in extending your summer entertaining season. With the usual British summer you might get mid-May to mid-September approximately four months, but with a good awning you can possibly add six to eight weeks at either end of this and truly make the most of your outdoor entertaining space

A deeper dutch canopy for more shade	Dutch canopies are a neat lightweight solution to shade issues and since they put very little stress on the building they can be used in situations where an awning is inappropriate.   Because the dutch canopy folds out like an umbrella you get more shade at the corners as the picture below shows. If we put an awning on our shop it would protect better from directly in front but because of the travel of the sun through the day this would provide us with less shade overall	A simple solution to glare and heat gain

We cover Central and North London as far as the M25 plus areas such as Cheshunt Colney Heath Cuffley Hatfield London Colney Potters Bar St Albans Waltham Abbey Waltham Cross and Welwyn Garden City, which are just beyond the M25. With our new expanded fitting team we now can also cover East London, Essex and Hertfordshire. By limiting our area we feel we can offer a better level of service.
